Prague gate
Prague gate is a late gothic tower that presents a rest of former fortification of the town. Nowadays it serves as an art gallery, café and also as an observation tower. In its interior there is a very interesting photography exhibition and a short description of the history of Mělník fortification.

Náměstí Míru
It is the largest, the oldest and the most important square in Mělník. Many monuments can be found here, including the dominant Town Hall . In the Town Hall interiors, art exhibitions are placed. Gothic buildings are the most historically valued in particular for their vast gothic cellars that were originally used as wine cellars. The most historically important buildings are “Zlatá hvězda” , “U zlatého hroznu” and furthermore the building “Modrá hvězda” where you can find a wine shop and a stylish wine bar on few floors.
Mělník chateau and the Church St. Peter and Paul
The chateau and the Church St. Peter and Paul present the most important archaeological sights of the town. Except many remarkable works of art an exceptional charnel-house is situated next to the church. Mortal remains of 10 – 15 thousand people were gathered in the charnel-house.

Junction of rivers Elbe and Vltava
Mělník is situated at the junction of two Czech biggest rivers which presents an important dominant feature that attracts large number of tourists. Zámecká vyhlídka – Chateau view offers the best view.
